        Leah Ann Spindler

My Biography

         I  was born and developed a love of the Arts in Lancaster Wisconsin. After graduating from high school I attended Madison Area Technical College for a semester. After that semester I knew that I wanted to be a teacher so I then transferred to the University of Wisconsin - Stout in Menomonie Wisconsin. I spent four summers working at the Interlochen Fine Arts Camp. I graduated for college in December 1996 with a Bachelor of Science in Art Education as well as a History Minor. I spend the summer of 1997 in New Hampshire working at the camp Wicosuta where I was the primary art teacher as well as a counselor. Fall of 1997 I came to work in Mauston school district where I  have taught  elementary and high school art. After the first year I was added to the high school staff full time. After teaching high school art for 11 years I made the chose to move to the elementary level. In 2007 received my Masters in Education through UW- Lacrosse. I am currently teaching elementary art at Lyndon Station and Westside elementary in Mauston.
