Pool Safety and Procedures
The Mauston Community Pool is taking necessary steps to protect its patrons. One employee will be on duty at all times specifically for sanitation of the locker rooms and pool area after use. Patrons and swim lesson students have the ability to use the side pool entrance to enter the facility. If patrons or students still want to use the locker room, they may. Both locker room doors will remain open to minimize contact in the locker room area. Many lockers have been locked to ensure social distancing. If swimmers choose to use the side pool entrance, they need to make sure they have showered ahead of time, otherwise, they will still be required to shower in the locker room before use. We will be enforcing social distancing and will be keeping track of patrons in the pool at all times. A computer monitor with information will be placed in the pool lobby with information regarding how many patrons are in the pool area at a given time. If we are at our maximum capacity, the computer monitor will inform those wanting to enter to wait until others leave the facility.
Mauston Area Swim Team
In the month of October, we will be starting our swim team program again, after school. Practices will start October 1st, and will be every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 4:30-5:30 p.m.
Other Programming to Continue
Early in November, the pool will have extended hours during the school day, and are looking to continue our partnership with Mile Bluff's Wet and Wild Aqua Aerobics classes, and Aqua Zumba during this time. We will also be starting Paddleboard Yoga!
Red Cross Lifeguarding Training
We will be offering a Red Cross Lifeguarding training course on June 7th and 8th from 8:00am- 6:00pm. Please email: Kewing@maustonschools.org for registration information.
