Pool Safety and Procedures

The Mauston Community Pool is taking necessary steps to protect its patrons. One employee will be on duty at all times specifically for sanitation of the locker rooms and pool area after use. Patrons and swim lesson students have the ability to use the side pool entrance to enter the facility. If patrons or students still want to use the locker room, they may. Both locker room doors will remain open to minimize contact in the locker room area. Many lockers have been locked to ensure social distancing. If swimmers choose to use the side pool entrance, they need to make sure they have showered ahead of time, otherwise, they will still be required to shower in the locker room before use. We will be keeping track of patrons in the pool at all times. A computer monitor with information will be placed in the pool lobby with information regarding how many patrons are in the pool area at a given time. If we are at our maximum capacity, the computer monitor will inform those wanting to enter to wait until others leave the facility.

Some exceptions: Fitness classes do not count towards a seasonal pass; Aqua Zumba has an additional $5 fee to the instructor.

Family is up to 4 people living in the SAME household; each additional person is $15 more. Seniors must be 60 or older. Senior/School Employee*/Active Military/Veteran discount - take $10 off pass(excludes fitness passes)

*School employee discount must show I.D. card and only good for the employee.

Punch cards expire one year from the purchase date.

The undersigned has been given authority to act for and be responsible for the user-making application. He/she will see that the facilities are not misused, that there is adequate adult supervision at all times, that the facilities are used in accordance with all policies and regulations of the Mauston Board of Education, and that all other terms of the use agreement are adhered to and followed [Ref. Board Policy 7510 Use of District Facilities].

The undersigned agrees to pay the rental rate as stated, and such costs for services of personnel as are indicated or may occur. It is agreed that any damage beyond normal wear and tear while being used for the purpose requested will be the liability of the undersigned and/or the organization which s/he represents.

In consideration of the facilities made available to the User, the User agrees to indemnify and to forever hold harmless the School District of Mauston, its officers, agents, and/or employees against all claims, suits, demands, orders, judgments, or other forms of liability as shall arise out of or by reason of action taken or not taken by the district under this contract, including but not limited to damages and costs, for which the district may be found liable, as well as reasonable attorneys fees and costs necessary to defend the interest of the District.

Attention:

Please make sure you allot enough time to be out of the locker room by the end of each shift. The end time listed for each day is the time you need to be exiting the building not when you get out of the pool.

We have student lifeguards, and they need to get back to the high school for class following their shifts in the mornings and have the ability to go home at and get homework done.
