The Official Open Enrollment Application Period for the 2026-2027 School Year will open on Monday, February 2, 2026. The application period will close on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. 

The School District of Mauston is the "School of Choice" for more than 100 non-resident students! If you are interested in having your child attend the School District of Mauston, we will be happy to meet with you to discuss options for your child's educational program.

You may apply for open enrollment online at https://dpi.wi.gov/oe. The online application will be available from midnight February 2, 2026, until 4:00 p.m. April 30, 2026. Online is recommended, if possible. If you are not able to apply online, you may apply with a paper form. Paper applications are available at the District Office or families can download an application from the right, under the "Open Enrollment Forms and Information" menu.

Applications cannot be turned in prior to February 2, 2026, and must be submitted no later than April 30, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. 

The Regular Open Enrollment Application period is closed for the 2025-2026 school year.

However, if you have recently moved to the area, OR if you have moved out of the School District of Mauston, but wish to have your children continue attending school in Mauston, we're here to help.

Parents are able to complete an Alternate Open Enrollment Application to enroll their children in the school district of their choice, and we hope that will be the School District of Mauston. The Alternative Open Enrollment period opens on July 1, 2025. 

We are available to assist parents in completing their applications if help is needed. Paper Applications for the 2025-2026 School Year can be found on the right in the "Open Enrollment Forms and Information" menu or in the Mauston District Office.
