In keeping with the philosophy of serving every child's needs, the School District of Mauston provides an array of student services. School Counselors assist students with their personal, social, and academic needs. The School Psychologist assists the student grade-level teams with interventions and learning assessments tiered by individual student learning needs.
Students identified with special education needs to participate in the general education curriculum unless their disability is such that they are utilizing an alternate curriculum. The district offers adaptive physical education, speech and language, occupational therapy, physical therapy, audiology, vision, and assistive technology when the student's individual education plan outlines these services. Identified students participate in all school activities and special classrooms with general education teachers and peers. Co-teaching is practiced to enhance each student's school achievement.
