The department's services include special education, referral, case management, and other programs and services. Please contact our office for additional information. Programming is available for students identified with special education needs.
All children are provided a free appropriate public education as defined by State & Federal statutes. Services are provided to students with special education needs in the following areas; orthopedic impairment, visual impairment, hearing impairment, emotional behavioral impairment, specific learning disability, speech or language impairment, cognitive disability, other health impairment, significant development delay, autism, and traumatic brain injury.
The School District of Mauston also offers an Early Childhood Program. The Early Childhood program is provided for three to five-year-olds identified as having special education needs. This program consists of a continuum of services in the student's natural environment.
