7th Grade Math Teacher Email Phone: 6088476603 x3323 Hi, my name is Kristin Nelson and I joined the Mauston School District as a 7th grade math teacher in August of 2001. I received a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Viterbo in LaCrosse, Wis. in 1994 and then received my Master's Degree from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse in 2005.
I have been actively involved in the Mauston School District by serving on the Curriculum Coordinating Council representing the 6-12 Math department from 2005 to 2009. I have been a part of several committees that improve the learning of students. I also have taken my interest in math to a national level, as I was selected as one of eight professionals to serve on an analyst team for a national study on the effectiveness of middle school math teachers in Washington, D.C.
In 2012 iPad minis were added to my classroom. Since then, in 2014, the iPad minis were switched out and replaced with chrome books. I am excited to have technology at our finger tips.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, reading and crocheting/knitting. I also enjoy finding cool stuff on Pinterest.
