Hello!  My name is Mr. LaBansky and  I would like to take this time to introduce myself.  I grew up in Reedsburg and later attended the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.  I graduated from UW-Eau Claire in May of 2001 with a degree in Social Studies Education (Grades 6-12).  I earned my Master of Education-Professional Development degree from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse in May of 2007, my Director of Instruction license from Viterbo University in August of 2014, and my principal licensure from Viterbo University in April of 2015.  I have had the opportunity to teach a variety of grade levels at several different schools in Eau Claire, Altoona, Independence, and Wonewoc.  I am extremely happy to now be at Mauston High School!  

My philosophy of education is to create an environment in which each individual learner will be respected for his or her differences.  I will help each student connect social studies to other content areas and the learner’s life.  I will create a community of productive learners who are connected to other members of the class, the school, the community, and the world.
