Hi, I'm Amy Behling, and I'm the Band Director at Olson Middle School. I graduated from Mauston High School in 1982, and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in K-12 Instrumental Music Education. While in college, I toured Europe in 1983 with the Viterbo Concert Choir, performed at Carnegie Hall in 1985 with the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse Symphony Orchestra and participated in the 1986 Orange Bowl Parade with the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse Marching Chiefs. 

Prior to teaching in Mauston, I was the Band/Choir Director at Assumption High School in Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. From 1990-2000 my duties there included conducting the concert, jazz, pep and marching bands, as well as the concert and show choirs. I also directed six major musicals and organized high school band trips to Washington, D.C., Minneapolis, Southern California, Florida and New Orleans.

In the fall of 2000, I was hired as assistant director of instrumental music in grades 6-12 for the School District of Mauston. Since 2003 I have been the Band Director at Olson Middle School for grades 6-8.

In May of 2007, I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse with a Master's Degree in Education-Professional Development. My husband, Mark, and I have been married for 17 years. We have a 12-year old son, Joshua.
