Mauston High School and iLEAD Charter School Principal Email Phone: (608) 847-4410 ext. 4424 We are very proud of the students and staff in Mauston High School and iLEAD. I look forward to working with our students and families to help them achieve their high school goals and prepare for their post-secondary lives with an incredibly talented staff and support staff. They each bring to our students different perspectives and pathways to the successes they had in life and want to support our students through the journey to a successful life.
Our strengths lie in our three pillars that transcend school: Be Your Best, Win the Day, and Be Unstoppable. Each and every person has the potential to utilize these pillars to build successes in education, life, and their futures. Every person in the School District of Mauston community can rally around these principles to support our kids. I have witnessed the power of that strength many times since arriving at the School District of Mauston in 1995.
Whether a student's goal is a top university in the country, a local community college, vocational training, military service, or project-based learning and entrepreneurship, we want every student to “Be Their Best”. The pathway to success includes a multitude of opportunities that may not always be from point a to b anymore. We have also found that a positive, supportive, inclusive school culture brings out the best in all of us. Our students and staff are routinely complimented by visitors for their friendliness, and we continue to strive for those efforts with anyone we encounter. We want our students to be kind, caring role models and strive to leave a legacy for future generations to continue to live up to. Because of our students' wide variety, interests, and goals, we work hard to create and maintain as many choices as possible.
iLEAD Charter School offers a project-based competency model which allows students choice in pursuing credits towards post-secondary pathways. Lemonweir Academy, led by Assistant Principal Mr. Gyllin, opened at the start of the year for students in grades 6-9 to assist students in a new curriculum. In addition to our solid core academics, we have art and performing art programs, CTE programs such as welding, building trades, Golden Eagle Enterprises, Child Development, a strong future teacher pathway, business offerings, and a wide variety of extracurricular and athletic opportunities for all students. A veteran counseling department and college and career specialist are available to assist students and families for life after graduation. In the fall of 2020, Mauston and Lyndon Station communities supported a referendum to expand our Technical Education, Agriculture, Art, and iLEAD areas while remodeling our front entryway for a more secure entry into our building.
We are excited to the addition open this fall and support from area business and industry partners to create a world class learning environment for kids I am always excited to share the stories of this great staff, support staff, and student body, as well as learn more about what we could offer them. If you have any questions, please never hesitate to contact me. I hope you are always able to spend time with those the most in your lives. I hope you have a great day and be your best!
