Hi! My name is JJ Heesch. I grew up in the Wisconsin Dells and graduated high school from Portage, WI. I attended UW-Baraboo and then Herzing University, where I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. I began my working career in banking and then IT as a Network Administrator. I learned a lot and truly enjoyed my time working in these industries.
After about eight years, I returned to school for my teaching certification from Viterbo University. I was hired by Pewaukee High School and taught there for six years. I was fortunate to start a program called Insight, which allowed students to complete real projects for real companies like the Milwaukee Bucks, American Heart Association, and the JJ Watt Foundation. All students were provided a mentor who is a professional working in the career the student is interested in pursuing.
I primarily teach at iLEAD Charter School. I also teach computer science at Mauston High School. I am also the CTE Coordinator at MHS.
