It's good to be back! I've been teaching at MHS since 2016, but I grew up in the area, and who says you can't go home! Prior to teaching here, I was at Reedsburg Area High School for nine years, and it was at Ashwaubenon High School where I started my teaching career. I am a proud alumni of St. Norbert College in DePere, WI, where I got my Bachelor's degree, and I am proud to have completed my Master's degree at UW LaCrosse during my tenure as a teacher. I was happy to move back closer to family and to invest in the community where I grew up and where I am raising my own children.
On a personal note, I am the mother of four amazing girls and have a top-notch husband. We live in the country, have animals, and love to be outside and be adventurous. I am a runner, a reader, a gardener, and an avid sports fan, so that is just enough to keep me busy.
I teach kids, and the content is social studies. If I could do anything in the world to help kids learn, we would travel every class period and get a hands-on experience. If we were studying Gandhi, we would be in New Delhi, India, walking his final footsteps. When we would learn about the culture of the Amazon, it would be a trip to South America. I do my best to bring history to life, make it real, make it applicable, and have some fun learning along the way.
