On Monday, August 16, 2021, the School District of Mauston Board of Education voted on a Back to School COVID Mitigation Plan, in which facial coverings are optional for the 2021-2022 school year.
As a reminder, it is imperative that you keep your child/children home from school if they have one or more COVID-19 like symptoms. Because of our combined diligence to stop the spread of COVID-19 during the 2020-2021 school year, we were able to keep our schools open for the entire year and we hope to do so again in the 2021-2022 school year.
The District will continue to monitor our local infection rates, communicate with the Juneau County Health Department and CDC, and communicate with all stakeholders as needed. Depending on COVID risk levels, face coverings may be required in the future should it be in the best interest of our students, staff, and community.
