Students in the School District of Mauston are required to take annual state assessments each spring. Students take the following assessments:
- Early literacy for students in 4K-2
- 4K-K, Phonological Awareness Literacy Screening (PALS)
- 1 & 2, iReady Reading
- Forward Exam assessment of Literacy and Mathematics (Grades 3-8); Science (Grades 4 & 8), Social Studies, (Grades 4, 8 & 10).
- ACT Aspire assessment English, Mathematics, Reading, Science, and Writing (Grades 9 & 10).
- ACT with writing assessment of English Mathematics, Reading, Science, and Writing (Grade 11).
- Dynamic Learning Maps (DLM) for students with significant disabilities (Grades 3-11).
Results from these assessments are shared with families, used by the schools to make improvements, and are used to create the State Report Cards.
