Happy Autumn
Every Child, Every Classroom, Every Day!
This month has been quite busy with our assessments and new learning opportunities. Students are quite settled into our learning schedules, which is great to see.  I have had the pleasure of visiting all classrooms and find each classroom focusing on learning targets and personalization for our students.  It is so exciting to see our students happy and excited about learning new strategies and ideas.
Our instructional coach has been able to visit classrooms and provide important feedback to our educators.  This helps our educators make improvements in instructional strategies for all learners.  She will be visiting the school bi-weekly to work with teachers.
On our professional development day our teams of educators worked with one another on data, instructional practices and collaboration of best practices.  These days are beneficial for our educators because they allow our educators to work together across buildings to improve student achievement.
Our School Counselor has been working with groups of students to reinforce positive behaviors in our school.  We appreciate her working with groups of students to make sure they are safe, respectful and responsible individuals.
Thank you to the PTC for purchasing signs for our building to reinforce our positive messages to create a safe, respectful and responsible environment. If you have not been in the school, please stop in and see how nice it looks.  Please join us on November 7, 2016 at 5:30 in the library to support our students.
Our small school is so special and I am honored to be a part of the great team in Lyndon.  It takes a community to make sure our students are successful and we have that in all of our staff. Each person involved in your student’s education plays an integral part in making us successful- I thank all of you as parents, mentors and volunteers for helping make us the best we can be!
Please contact me with any questions at 547-2741.
Best Wishes,
Principal Michele Yates-Wickus
