Free and Reduced Lunch Information
Please fill out the Free and Reduced application (link below) and return to Cindy Gruen, Mauston School District Office, to ensure that your children will be able to eat on opening day. This form needs to be filled out every year. Only one form per family is required. A student who qualifies for free meals will be able to eat ONE lunch and ONE breakfast per day using his or her lunch ID card. If the free or reduced student desires to eat a second meal OR purchase food items from the a la carte line, his or her family account will be charged the full rate, and THE PARENT IS RESPONSIBLE to pay for ALL MEALS so purchased. Students approved for free meals will NOT be allowed to make additional purchases unless there is money in their family account. Students qualified to receive free meals do NOT receive free milk when they bring a sack lunch from home.
Students approved for reduced meals will receive a breakfast meal at no charge. Reduced lunch cost is $0.40 for the first meal. Any extra meals or single cartons of milk will be charged the full price. Students in grades PK-5, approved for free and reduced meals, will receive morning milk break at no cost.
