Eagle Explorations Opening June 9th

West Side Elementary will be hosting Eagle Explorations summer school again this year.

Check the Eagle Explorations Catalog or class details and information as well as the information below.

  • All elementary age classes are at West Side Elementary.
  • Drop off will be in the front of West Side using the same drop-off and pick-up pattern as during the school year beginning at 7:30 am. Do not use the bus entrance for pickup or drop off.
  • If you want to walk your child to the teacher rather than drop them off, please park in the lot in front of Grayside Elementary - Remember, don't drop students off in the parking lot.  This is not safe as cars sometimes don't see children walking.
  • Students will receive a copy of their schedules from their teacher.
  • If you are bringing medication to school, please park and check-in with the office before 8:00 am.
  • If you have fees for traveling baseball teams, please take those to the district office.  If you need a baseball form, it will be provided in class on the first day.
  • Students in summer school must follow the guidelines outlined in the Student Respect and Responsibilities Handbook.
  • For additional information, please see the Q&A on the side menu.

Drop-off and Pick-up

7:30-8:00: All classes begin at West Side Elementary School.  Drop off begins at 7:30 a.m. at the picnic tables by the front doors.  Enter the drive from County Rd. G.  Staff will be out in front of West Side to greet children and direct them to their teachers.  If you need to park and walk your child up to the building, please use the parking lot in front of Grayside Elementary.

There are several pick-up times to accommodate different afternoon schedules:

  • 12:00: Parent pickup at West Side for students with schedules ending at noon. Please use the parent drop-off, pick-up loop.

Online Forms

Why Online Forms?

We work with multiple partners in this programming, the information on these forms is shared with the necessary entities, and contains important information regarding dismissal, busing (if necessary), emergency contact information, and an area to fill in additional information including allergies or other comments. To locate the online forms, please log in to Skyward Family Access. On the left side of the window, there will be a tab named Online Forms. When the tab is clicked on, the list of student names will appear and will indicate whether an online form has been submitted or not.

Complete the necessary forms for your student, then on the last step of the forms, make sure to select the Submit 2025 Eagle Explorations button. If you are having difficulty seeing all the fields on the form, it is recommended to select the View Full-Screen Option as indicated in the figure below.
