Eagle Explorations 2026

West Side Elementary will be hosting Eagle Explorations summer school again this year.

Check the Eagle Explorations Catalog or class details and information as well as the information below.

  • All elementary age classes are at West Side Elementary.
  • Drop off will be in the front of West Side using the same drop-off and pick-up pattern as during the school year beginning at 7:30 am. Do not use the bus entrance for pickup or drop off.
  • If you want to walk your child to the teacher rather than drop them off, please park in the lot in front of Grayside Elementary - Remember, don't drop students off in the parking lot.  This is not safe as cars sometimes don't see children walking.
  • Students will receive a copy of their schedules from their teacher.
  • If you are bringing medication to school, please park and check-in with the office before 8:00 am.
  • If you have fees for traveling baseball teams, please take those to the district office.  If you need a baseball form, it will be provided in class on the first day.
  • Students in summer school must follow the guidelines outlined in the Student Respect and Responsibilities Handbook.
  • For additional information, please see the Q&A on the side menu.

Drop-off and Pick-up

7:30-8:00: All classes begin at West Side Elementary School.  Drop off begins at 7:30 a.m. at the picnic tables by the front doors.  Enter the drive from County Rd. G.  Staff will be out in front of West Side to greet children and direct them to their teachers.  If you need to park and walk your child up to the building, please use the parking lot in front of Grayside Elementary.

There are several pick-up times to accommodate different afternoon schedules:

  • 12:00: Parent pickup at West Side for students with schedules ending at noon. Please use the parent drop-off, pick-up loop.
  • 2:00: Parents pick up students at West Side for students with programming ending at 2:00.  Buses leave campus at 2:15 to return to the bus stops.
  • 3:45: Parents pick up students at West Side and Hatch Public Library for students with programming ending at 3:45.

Registration Information

Registration for Current Families

Selecting and registering for classes is done through Arena Scheduling in Skyward Family Access.  Starting April 1st, families are invited to log into their Skyward Family Access account and view the available classes, and update student information if necessary. Registration opens Wednesday April 1st at 1:00 PM.

Quick Tips to Help You Register:

  • The complete course catalog is available here: 2026 Mauston Eagle Exploration Summer School - see side menu.
  • Classes will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Classes have limited seats available. Please register early for the best class selection.
  • Using filters can help you to narrow the choices by period.
  • If you click on the class name, a small window will appear with additional course info, including the time of the class.
