E1 Classroom Teacher Email Phone: (608) 847-1828 ext 1102 Welcome! My name is Dana LaBansky and I have been a primary multiage teacher for five years here at West Side Elementary. I enjoy the students, staff, and the positive community be have built here at West Side. I graduated from Cashton High School in 1998 and made my way across the Mississippi River to earn my Bachelor's Degree from Winona State University in December of 2002. I student taught in a kindergarten classroom at Lawrence Lawson Elementary in Sparta, Wisconsin where I found my love for Responsive Classroom. One of the main focuses in my classroom is creating a caring and safe environment for all who enter. After graduating from WSU, I taught one year of kindergarten at the Alma Center-Humbird-Merrillan School District. Wanting to be closer to home, I decided to join the Mauston School District staff and become a primary multiage teacher. During this time, I also earned my Master's Degree from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse in Professional Development in 2007.
