Food Service Director

Katina Ziebell is the Food Service Director for the School District of Mauston.

Hello, my name is Katina. I am married to one of the world’s hardest working men, Roger. He is a United States Postal employee and owns a lawn care/snow removal service as well, which keeps him quite busy. I have two beautiful children- Chelsea and Tylor . When I got married to Roger, I was also blessed with two more children- Angela, and Brandon. They are all my world and challenge wrapped into one.

I am a graduate of Adams-Friendship High School. I continued my education at Western Technical College of La Crosse and received my Associate Degree in Culinary Management. Upon graduation, I was employed by the State of Wisconsin at Sand Ridge Treatment Center and then moved on to the New Lisbon Correctional Institution, both in their food service departments.

I was hired here for the 2009/10 school year. I am very honored and blessed to have received my “Dream Job” in such a short amount of time after graduating. My goal is to teach and institute healthy choices to our students by serving more fresh fruits and vegetables. I will be working with a new program called “NutriKids”. This program will help me identify all calories, fats, proteins, sodium, etc… in every meal served to the students on a daily or weekly basis. I cannot wait to share more of this information with you. Keep a watchful eye on our food service section of the website.

On my own time, I enjoy gardening and cooking. I am hoping to one day own a catering business to share the skills that I have been taught. My greatest pleasure is being in the company of my family. In the summer we do a lot of camping, swimming, and cooking out.
