There are three main components to the Gifted and Talented program. Each is important, but each can be treated separately: 1) supporting teachers in the regular classes who have students exhibiting special talents well beyond their peers; 2) supporting “academic” extra curricular activities that provide enrichment opportunities for all students; 3) providing a contact person both internally and externally for issues related to gifted and talented programming.

The overall program is coordinated by the Director of Instruction, and assisted by the Elementary Principal. There are several teachers who facilitate certain academic activities, including Differentiation Coaches, in the district both at building and cross-building levels.
